Anvil of the Void Trap *SPOILER*

Post by Uncle Vanya »

I'm having problem with the Anvil of the Void trap, the one where there is a pillar with four faces, four anvils and 4 guardians. I've read that you have to kill the guardians then use the anvils. The problem for me is, the guardians are invincible, as far as I can tell. Every single hit I make on them does 0 damage, every spell is resisted. Is this a bug or is there a way around this?

After fighting a spirit that the guardian spawns, you will notice that the anvils will begin to glow. Trigger an anvil to attack a face. I believe you need to fire an anvil twice at each face.
“The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially.”

I had no trouble dealing damage to the spirits. All my weapons were iced though. Maybe you have to stand on the big round platform to damage them? Also try to focus on one at a time because they disappear from time to time and come back at full health if alive, so you have to kill them quickly.

Small observation: I think the lyrium veins can only be used by your main character, so avoid using poultices on him/her.

The Lyrium veins can be used by anyone. I kept sending Wynne to use them.
Don't think you know all the answers.

Hmm, weird...
When I sent Oghren to heal there, he just stood like an idiot in front of the vein for a round or so, and then went back to attacking.
