You can buy it on budget for £5 now, so there's no excuse to not own it.

So many memories, so much fun, so many hours lost in the world of BG. Image

So many tomes to make your character awesomely powerful in BG2 Image

Heh heh, I used the 3 tomes of wisdom to raise Viconia from 15 (pretty crummy) to 18. Neat. Image

The U.S. has the combined BG/ToSC pack in abundance. As well as plenty of the DVD version. Do you live on Mars or are you Amish? Image

I can't find BG1 anywhere either. I haven't seen after BG2 came out. If I ever see it, I'll grab it right away. I would really like to play it, since BG2 is such a great game. I kinda started to play BG2 by accident...I couldn't figure out any other games I could possibly want for christmas. So I wanted BG2 because there were no other even near-good games from my point of view. And it turned to be the best game I've ever played! So now I WANT TO play BG1 too!!!!

Centuries ago in England........It was an era of chivalry and magic. The evil Prince John unleashed an iron fist of tyranny upon the people. They called out for a champion.........one man answered that call. His name, was Robin Hood. Fearless in his quest for justice Robin Hood challenged the power of the high warlords. While protecting the helpless and the poor. Willing to face death for what he believed, along with the beautiful, lady warrior, Jaheira, the mighty Minsc, and the wise Keldorn. Robin Hood forged a legend that lives on today in............

K: Not sure, I'll have to check. I presume it will either be £20 or £30 (the latter being a bit steep). Will check for you.

You can also get a triple pack here: BG/Fallout/Planescape.

There was something about BG that no other game has ever captured, the outdoor adventure the intrigue and the Story, BG2 missed the outdoor's greatly.

Agree Mr Sleep.

Some people complained that BG1 involved too much walking around.

Humph. I thought it was great how you could trot around from screen to screen, passing through road squares, exploring others, finding little caves in the middle of nowhere.

Much better than these self-contained "encounter areas" in IWD and BG2.

I think on this front we have to blame the American audience, the largest buying public, they probably complained so it gets done, look at how many games have been wrecked by the US audience Image

i have started playing bg again and i love it sooooo much, i thought i would not want to play it any more as i was used to bg2, i am glad i went back, i didnt really have bg long b4 bg2, i rushed through it and had bg2 even b4 i got to complete bg, in fact i havent completed bg as i lost my save, i did get to sarevok though and he whooped my butt.

I just love exploring outdoors, its fun just uncovering the map and simply wandering around the forest searching for treasure and enemies, this is my idead of a proper adventurer, it is a lot less linear.

bg is a lot more zany as well, today i ran into the amazing oopa, the exloding ogre, lmao "lets see that crowd pleaser just one more time" Image
