problems with barrow wight chapter 3

Post by jose »

i wanted to know if anyone had already the same problem that i had; when i aproach to the wight guy and i talk to him, the game doesn't give me the option to help him find the bloody horn of his!!!, a tried almost anything to no avail.

i've read a lot of walktrhoughs to see if there's a solution but seems that after the huntmaster gives u the task to solve the problem and you head to the barrow, the tusked wight should give u a dialog option to help him.that option doesn't show, the dialog box goes to a loop where i either fight him or say farewell .

anyone has got the same problem??

if anyone can help me i will really appreciate it.

thanks.

Jose, IIRC, you are accurate that there isn't an option to tell the barrow wight that you'll help him. I think that you have to simply leave him alone, and once you've found what he's lost, you return it to him.

I agree that from a story-telling standpoint, it might have been better if the dialog did include an option to tell the BW that you would help it out. But it doesn't.

Don't you find out about his problem through someone else? You still are able to help him out though even though you cannot tell him you will help him.

BTW, I was reading thru the barrow wight's dialog and discovered that there's an alternative way to appease the wight other than finding and returning his horn.

Spoiler below...
Spoiler
A bard with a high enough diplomacy skill (6+), and enough INT/CHA(9+) and bard levels (6+), can sing the wight a song to honor him and allow the wight to rest in peace.
