Sorry for another thread but...

I bought the 1 disc version from Amazon because I was having trouble with the 4 disc version (scratched and couldn't download all of the files from them) and now this isn't working either.

My disc drive won't even recognise the disc is even in there

I've tried a load of other discs and they all work in my drive. I'm at a loss what to do. I'm starting to think I'm just not meant to play this game but I have a lot of free time over the holidays!

This is the copy I bought:

Plane Scape Torment (PC DVD): Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games

It works on my Windows 7 PC but not on my Vista 64. Really is frustrating. Is it worth investing in a new disc drive?

I'd say "yes", if it's not more than 20€. (That's probably +/- 30$).

I really don't understand. It's literally the only CD out of hundreds that doesn't work in my drive. Yet it works on my XP Laptop and my Windows 7 PC.

I could play it on those machines but the Vista 64 is in my room and more convenient.

I might have to try a new drive
