Lost the Adept Class

Post by feathin »

Okay so I started with a female human fighter, got to Fargrove, and started the Fighter, Sisterhood, and Adept initiation quests. Somewhere along the line I noticed that the greyed-out icon for Adept had vanished, but I still had the initiation quest active. Well, I went and finished it (after finishing the initiation quests for Fighter and Sisterhood) and got proclaimed to be an adept and all...but on my character screen, still no icon stating that I'm an adept, only a Fighter and a greyed-out icon for the in-progress Knight class.

Is this is a known bug (didn't see any reports of this from a forum search) or something odd to everyone? Should I just add the Adept class to my char via the editor (I'm fairly sure I didn't accidentally delete it from my char with the editor; it doesn't look like the editor even shows a class when you're just working on getting it as it doesn't show my knight-in-progess class and I definitely "lost" Adept before finishing initiation).

And while talking about my chars classes...there's not too much around the forums I've been able to find on guides/combos for classes, so I don't know if there is even any combination that really doesn't "work", but is a human female Fighter&Adept, Knight&Valkyrie, Lord a "good" combination?

If you use that nifty editor :) while a greyed-out icon shows in your character sheet, the greyed-out icon can be removed. If you edit during such a phase, the editor will show a blank spot where the grey icon should be, and you'll have to edit the class back in after you've completed its quest.

Fighter/Adept/Knight/Valkyrie/Lord is definitely a labour-intense choice, as you'll have little magic at your disposal in a pinch. You'll want to carry some Blast Nova scrolls for emergencies, and use your Celestial and Rune spells for healing and protection.

As a member of the Celestial Order, you'll have access to the 'better' crystals as well, and the Anti-Magic-Shield (sold by Grymlok) can make all the difference. For additional damage and crowd control, acquaint yourself with the Crystal of Lightning and Stone Shards.
