De'Arnise Hold Bridge Gate Thing Not Working

Post by Kerosene »

Whenever I try to turn the wheel to make it go down, (I used teleport cheat to get to other side) it comes back up straight away. I don't like teleporting to the other side because it makes me feel like a cheater D:

How would I fix this?

Why don't you just like go through the secret passage , kill some stuff , then go outside to the courtyard and open it the normal way ?

Do you own the key to the door of the keep to open it?

Jouke, and others. here is how you do the spoiler thing:

Took me a while to figure out myself, so here goes so others do not need to.

Up in the bar with options for your message, furthest to the R in the bottom row, there is a big S in a yellow square with fat black borders. Mark your text, then click on that and voila...

No, I'm talking about the main gate to the courtyard, I own the keep, I had the key at the time (I put it in my collection of items at the moment :p ) and it still didn't stay down. I don't think I can go through the secret passage either.

Does re-installing get rid of your saves?

Not if you copy your saved game directory elsewhere, then put it back, later. But first--

Did you get in this mess by using a multiple strongholds mod?

Odd. What mods are you running, if any?

None. I only have Shadowkeeper if my stats go stuffed up, or if I choose to go K/M/T. I use it rarely, but you wouldn't really call that a mod, would you?

Have you got the G3 Fixpack? If not it might be worth installing that after you reinstall and patch your game.
Good luck. :)

Yeah, I'll do it later. I'm almost in Underdark, so no point doing it now.
