Armor class bonus

I have a natural armor +1 and bracer +1. The natural armor stacks with my armor class bonus but the bracer +1 does not. Why is this?

Are you wearing any other items that give an armour bonus? Bonuses of the same type do not stack.

Except for Dodge bonus, aye.

Armor and bracers of armor never stack (the higher value is added, the lower is skipped)
Items of protection (rings, necklages) do not stack (again, higher value is added)

It works also for spells. If you have Bracers of Armor, then casting a spell which increases armor value will not work / will disable the bonus of bracers.
