Question about a feat

I am currently building a Druid/Warmage/Arcane Hierophant and I came across a feat called Magical Beast Companion. According to this feat, you can get a Remorhaz for a companion if you meet the required druid levels. The only stipulation to the feat is under the sea cat, which says you must be in an aquatic area to use. The Remorhaz is a polar creature, but has no stipulation. I have also not seen any rules about having arctic creatures in non arctic areas. I was wanting to hear some opinions people might have on this. Can such a character have a polar worm for a companion in a non arctic area or would this be something only allowed in a polar region?

If there's no clause in the rule preventing that, it's possible.
If the DM is being hard on it, just cast Endure Elements (lvl 1, 24h duration) each day on the beast, and the problem is solved.

As long as it can breath and it's fed, then there shouldn't be a problem. The only reason aquatic is like that is due to fish having gills and quite literally requiring water to breathe, which can also be bypassed with the opposite of the water breathing spell, Air Breathing found in Stormwrack (although there's no real point to dig up that book just for a spell that is in every way the exact same as Water Breathing aside from it being air instead of water). That'd be useful if you got something like a Dragon Turtle Companion from Animal Companion rules found in Draconomicon.

Always a way to bypass many clauses in 3.5.
