Tired of reputation banter!

Post by mrdeluxe »

I'm really tired of hearing: "Ahh, we are all heroes, you and Boo and I! Hamsters and rangers everywhere, rejoice!". How can I shut these up? Will they go away in ToB?

Cheers!

Minsc's soundset is one of the reasons i never take him along anymore. In polish version it's also much louder than others.

As far as i know, there's no way to tweak the soundsets selectively, though if anyone knows different, i'd be grateful for sharing. The shouts of characters being hit have always annoyed me terribly. Reputation complaints can be irritating, too, but the only thing you can do is turn the voices off completely. I actually used shadow keeper from time to time, changing some npc's alignment to make them stop complaining.

There is a control for eliminating 1) voice acknowledgment upon selecting a party member, and 2) general vocal comments of a party member. Of course, it applies across the board. You can't choose one party member to silence, and leave the others chattering.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

What if I murder a little kid in front of him, will he stop calling me a hero? And maybe Aerie won't be so glad I brought her with me.

I don't know if this is fact or not but I find that reputation related comments are more frequent when you are closer to the extremes (0 or 20).

If you have been sitting with a rep of 20 for a while, which is easy to do, just go out and kill a commoner...knock it down 4-7 points per.

I'm running a neutral good cleric ranger PC with Jan, Haer'Dalis and Edwin. They never complain about rep (good or bad) because I keep it in the 9-13 point range.

Although, Jan's banter is really getting on my nerves for other reason. Anyone know who Golodin is? christ almight!

The WORST for me is Nalia... when she asks how are we helping the poor by trudging around down here...She even has the nerve to say that while rescuing people from her own keep.
