Where are saved games in Windows ?

Post by otona »

I want to delete a load of saved games.I'm using Vista Ultimate SP2. I'd rather not do this from within the game, as it will take forever, as I've well too many saves.
I'd like to do this at Windows level. However, unlike Knights of the Old Republic, the Saves folder in KotOR is empty.
I followed this advice when setting up the program on Vista:
"How To" KOTOR 2 On Vista - Obsidian Forum Community
Works fine, but wondering is it something to do with this as to why I cannot find the saved files at Windows level? Are they stored in some script file instead ??
Would be great if someone knows the answer to this, and is a light side sort willing to share it :)

Any help appreciated, even if you are dark (I've yet to go down that avenue..)

OK been searching again. 24 hours on form when first looked -maybe found the answer. I went to the Program files-LucasArts- KotOR folder & clicked on Compatibility Files at top- Taken to list of 4 things- a Saves folder, a Temp folder; an "AR_ERROR folder; and a "swkotor.ini folder.
In the Saves folder is a list of Saves folders identified only in a numerical fashion. In each of these seems to be GLOBALVARS.res; PARTYTABLE.res; SAVEGAME.sav; & Screen.tga

Guess I could try deleting one of these folders, or maybe all of them except the last, with a view to restoring if something goes wrong....

Not goig to dive in and do that just yet, but can see no other way.
Path to this folder seems to be -my pc user name> AppData>Local>VirtualStore>ProgramFiles@LucasArts>SWKotOR2>Saves
