Dungeon Lords Overhaul - Gameplay Modification by File Read Error

Are you bored with the Collectors Edition? Would you like to encounter a much bigger variety of monsters, including all-new monsters that you didn't ever see before? Would you like to be able to get more different items (including spells, weapons and armor) from chests? Would you like to see enemies use many more different types of weapons and drop a greater mix of items? Then this modification is for you! It's the Collectors Edition Overhaul created by me, adding a lot of new monsters, unused items and features, improving treasure lists and drops, and more!
This link will lead you directly to the download! It's a zip file that contains everything you need, and it's not even hard to install it - just copy the files to the respective Dungeon Lords folders, overwriting the existing files, and there you go!
Some things to keep in mind:
- Read the readme file contained in the zip archive. It includes instructions on how to install it properly and such.
- Don't forget to backup your old files. If you have an external hard drive, it might be a good idea to just copy all the contents of your Dungeon Lords folder there so you can go back to the old version if anything goes wrong.
- Post any and all bug reports here in this thread. And of course, post anything else you want to report about this mod here, too!
- The zip archive contains a wide array of optional stuff, it's described in the readme file. Those files aren't necessary for the mod to run but they can be nice additions. I'd recommend using all of them as well. All the .dat files in the main folder are essential, though.
- !This mod works with the Collectors Edition only!
Some features of this mod (far too many to list them all, I'll just list a few):
- The most annoying type of enemy in the whole game, Killer Bees, can finally drop items now!
- Especially in areas like Vale of Ruin or Draedoth temple, you can find a lot of interesting new enemies! Some of them you may have encountered at certain fixed places already (like Gazers, Cacodemons or Templars) but some others are all-new monsters you certainly didn't ever see before (like Flame Spirits or Snake Womans)!
- Some monster types can now spawn in bigger-sized packs! This will make for more interesting battles, especially in high-level areas like the Vale of Ruin!
- All working spells are now findable, both from chests and enemies! If you were always annoyed that chests can't drop Soften, Summon Evil, Cataclysm or Divine Intervention, now it's time to start being happy because some high-level chests can actually produce these spells now! Some enemy types can drop them as well!
Optional features (you can decide whether you want them or not):
- The urgoth won't get stuck on the tower of Lake Lohr anymore!
- The automap in the left hand corner has a much better readability now!
- If you want, you can remove the annoying resource-eating grass textures from the game now, making the game run much faster (especially on slower machines)!
- Some human/elf attack animations have been replaced by others that look much better (imho)!
And now, have fun with this modification!
PS: Can a moderator please fix the typo in this thread's title? I can't seem to do it!
