Stuck on Grymlock

Post by Louii »

I am playing multiplayer, I have the quest from Staroxia to talk to Grymlock, partner doesnt', however when we find him, I have talked to him and he is still dingy, quest is still listed in my log. Is ther something I need to do first?

Staroxia should have given you some phrase to say to Grymlok. When you open the dialog box to talk to him, that phrase should be in red.

yep, have already tried that. The option never comes. I can trade, and ask a couple of questions on rune magic and that's it.

Is it possible that while playing multi-player, your partner also must have spoken to Startoxia? Maybe you each have to have the quest? It has to show up in your Log, I know that, in playing single player.

I remember heading all the way to the ..'arc' in the Vale of Ruin where I was supposed to place the vial of blood and in doing, be given the words to enter the Tomb of Souls.. But unfortunately, I died in a fight (I don't recall with what) and loaded my save file, and moved off and out to the Temple of Souls only to discover that I didn't have the words.............. I checked and realized that my save was *before* placing the vial...

Does it show up in your Log to speak the words to Grymlok?

Yes, we both have travelled to Staroxia, twice. I was the one who had the horn and was given the quest by the wizard to search her out. My partner has the two other quests from Staroxia, but she won't give him the one for Grymlock, and we have tried asking every single question we could. We went back to her after talking to Grymlock. I'm hoping we're not stuck, I really don't want to start over LOL.

I'm sorry, I can't help you. Perhaps this is a quirk of the multi-player game? Just for chits and giggles, did you check your 'letters' to see if the moonbridge ruins are there?

runes, too.. *heh*

funny you should ask that .... LOL ... , I just checked and I do have the book of runes. I assumed because the quest was still in my log that I would notice Grymlock giving them to me :D

Climb over the mountains into the Vale of Ruin and get the moonbridge the hard way. If you reach it, it will be activated even if you did not get the codes from Grymlok.
