Wizard or warwitch

I am at the point in the game where I need to decide whether to pick for my final class wizard or warwitch. I am an elf female adept mage sorcerer valkyre. I am level 21 and just finished the naga temple. I have been pretty evenly split between melee and magic. I am currently wearing heavy armor( store bought) but have the deathlord armor in my inventory. It is currently -5 penalty but if I was to spend my points saved up now I can get it to -2. My weapon is the winged destroyer. I mainly use arcane magic with a little bit of celestial.

The warwitch special ability of drainlife does not sound all that useful especially with the celestial spell blessed spirit that heals you while you battle. Now on the other hand the wizards skill of spellfire sounds very useful. And at many times magic is essential.

Ideally I want to be able to use the best weapons and armor and cast powerful spells when I need them. Just to give an example of my gameplay. When I fought Mog and his 2 pals. I used magic on his pals but once it was down to mog only then I went melee.

Too bad you can’t have the warwitch with the spellfire ability. What would you recommend. Please don’t say make a save and try both. I don’t replay games.

You should wait before filling in your last class slot. Eventually, Staroxia will give you the chance to become a Shadow Lord and that goes in the last slot.

I just had to make that decision as well and chose WarWitch, once again. For me, it was the bonus to ALL magics *and* armor that decided me. That said, the fight with the POX is a tough fight, but you now have the mask. Piece of cake.

You really do seem to be leaning towards Wizard. Since YOU are the one playing, and YOU are the only one who knows your style of play best--maybe Wizard IS the choice for *you*! I enjoyed the wizard and that spellfire really is AWESOME!

As for Shadow Lord--you can't get that until after the Shadow Realm, the bonus' it offers are to skills I use rarely. I would agree that if one is going to play the game more than once, then yes, by all means try the Shadow Lord. If you're only going to play the game ONCE, this wouldn't be my choice.

thanks. How hard is it to use the editor. are there any problems with using it if i was to want to add the spellfire skill if I was to go warwitch.
