Goddamned cutscene (ducal Palace)
I've just entered the ducal palace and every couple of seconds the cutscene for entering it the first time comes on. It's driving me crazy

I am experiencing the same when entering the first floor of the Iron Throne. Took about 12 plays of the scene to get across the room and up the stairs. It may be that we need to load a TotSC patch. I did notice that this occurred "after" I completed Durlag's Tower.

Good News!! I used the Tales of the SWord COast patch (which can be [url="http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG/index_misc.php"]found here[/url]). You do not need the Baldur's Gate patch as it was imbedded in in TotSC. Fixed the problem for me.
