First and foremost thank you in advance for reading my topic. My doubt is simple:
When you finish BG1 and want to continue playing in BG2 with your character, there are some obvious advantages such as experience, Stats above 18 and some easter eggs (like the Pantalons enigma). Do you know what itens or things will have influence in BG2? Thanks again!
Please help...
Dear friend, thanks for responding but, if is not too much to ask, I meant items and/or plots. For example: some special quest or thing that you do that affect the game when you go to BG2. And since you mentioned the Pantalons, do you know the answer to the "Pantalon Enigma" mentioned in some Baldurash Home Page i believe?
The only quest/thing that cares over is the Pantalons. If you have them in your invertory and export him/her to BG2 you will find them in the game.Originally posted by Nexus 6:

In SoA you will get the chance to get another one and in ToB you will find one as well. Supposely if you have all three it will be solved then.
No I don't know the answer. I haven't played ToB yet.
It comes down to, the paths you can take thru BG1 make it where it's hard to care on a quest game to game. To many varibles...I might decide not to do something you did do in BG1. All this information will then have to be transfered to BG2.

Experience: Always set to the cap of BG1 (or TotSC if you had it).Originally posted by Nexus 6:

Stats above 18: Definitely carried over. Don't miss any of the Tomes.
Spells in spellbook: Not carried over.

If you have any of Drizzt's items when you import your character into BGII, it will affect an encounter.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

You seem to be asking for some spoilage here, so here it is:

Since none of your items are imported into BG2 unless you cheat, you can't actually import any of Drizzt's items into BG2. However, if you import a character into BG2 who was carrying any of Drizzt's equipment (or possibly if anyone in the party save game had any of Drizzt's equipment-not sure how smart the game is on this), the game will make a note of it in the global variables and Drizzt will be just a bit peeved with you when you meet up with him in BG2.
You may be able to talk him down or you may be forced to fight him, probably the dialog options of this encounter depend on things like your charisma and intelligence.
If you're concerned about it, one way around this confrontation is not to kill or pickpocket Drizzt in BG1 Another possible workaround is not to have any of Drizzt's equipment on your party members when you export your BG1 character or make your final save (ie stash it somewhere). I can't imagine that the game is so smart that it can tell you had Drizzt's scimitar in a barrel somewhere, but you never know.....

Start the game stuff-less, then import a character in multiplayer that has the goodies. Not real cheating, but big Cheese nonetheless.

Yes, you can do that too if you start a multiplayer game and are really intent on keeping your stuff from BG1. Most of the things you bring from BG1 will quickly be outclassed by items you will find in SoA though, and some have weird properties when they're imported into BG1 (the +3 plate from Durlag's comes to mind...).Originally posted by Xyx:

Spider's Bane changes into some weird sword that occasionally lets loose Fireballs...
Some stuff that is definitely worth keeping (if you don't like challenge):
Boots of Speed
Ring of Holiness
Ring of Wizardry
Ring of Free Action
Drizzt's Frostbrand +3 scimitar (for Druids)
Drizzt's Defender +5 scimitar (for Druids or Thief/Mages)
Helm of Balduran
Cloak of Protection +2
Ring of Protection +2
