VTMB fanfic

I know this isn't the technical place for fanfic, but this seems like a somewhat active VTMB community. And I've started a fanfic that continues the plot from VTMB. Sorry if posting this is against the rules, and for the potentially sloppy writing, it has been awhile since I have written anything. It's a short piece, and again sorry if the "lore" is inaccurate, only did mild research. Anyway, any comments are appreciated!

Vampire the Masquerade: Pandemic

Chapter 1:

The fledgling awoke with a throbbing headache, deep stabs of anguish riddled his bloodless brain. He felt completely dehydrated, wondrous and tormenting in its novel feeling. Through blurry eyes, he saw a pale figure, corpse-like in his complexion, standing over him. The man had a curious orange tint to his eyes, which were covered with black-rimmed glasses. The corpse gave a sardonic smirk, then spoke.

“Salutations, young one, or should I say 'congratulations,' as you've made it into the inner circle.” The Kindred nodded in response, wincing, as he was finally aware of the severe pain emanating from his neck.
Extending a hand, Beckett said “Forgive my rudeness, Fledgling,...I am Beckett. I see you're discovering the double nature of the Giovanni bite, granting immortality, but with a painful price, even more so in this specific instance,” Here Beckett crossed his arms and made a mocking frown.
“Are you confused, neonate? Surely your clan would have better prepared you for this eventuality.”

“What eventuality?,” the fledgling asked. Beckett chuckled.
“You being left alone, in some dark Giovanni garden, left with the mysteries of your clan. But it is much worse than that, I fear you've been infected...” here Beckett trailed off.

“Infected? With what?,” the Kindred asked, desperation in his voice. Beckett allowed himself a mocking smile once more. “But, we are getting ahead of ourselves, what is your name?.”

“Victor, Victor Putanesca” the fledgling said in response.
“Hmm...were you involved in that mafia conflict a few years back?, but of course you were, your family are the enforcers of the Giovanni, after all. Enough of that, it seems your Uncle's bite left you with more than just immortality...and he has departed, in the literal sense,” Beckett said.

“Where? Do you know where he has gone?,” Victor asked.
“I suspect he has left to avoid extermination by agents of other Kindred sects, you know what a Kindred is, don't you? One of us. Now, onto more important matters, there is a plague that is spreading, and your Uncle, unwittingly or not, has made you a vehicle of this disease--,” Beckett was cut off by gunfire, his eyes widened slightly, but with alertness, not fear.

“We must go, I feel compelled to help you,...for some odd reason. We should head to the outskirts of the mansion, I have transportation hidden there, somewhat cleverly, I might add.”
Victor slunk through the shadows, following Beckett's strangely silent figure. Beckett halted after taking a few steps, watching two beastly forms battling for their survival. After one of them had been disposed of, Beckett sped forward, almost supernaturally, proceeding to crack the other vampire's head on the marble fountain next to them.

They did not encounter any other resistance during their sojourn to the vehicle, a cab curiously enough. Beckett quickly ushered Victor into the passenger seat, then got in the driver's side, and started the car, speeding off into the shadows.

“What an interesting time to become birthed in the darkness. Leaders have been killed, artifacts unearthed, and plagues introduced into the equation. And your related to the Giovanni, how marvelously lethal for you, but you've already died once, right? What's one more dip into the grave?,” Beckett said facetiously. Victor was silent, content to stare out the window, but mainly still in shock.

Hmm, I wasn't exactly sure what you meant by "continuing the plot", but now I get it. It does seem that you aren't using the "fledgling"(or player character from Bloodlines) for your story, but rather another in a similar situation(though I doubt a trial will be part of this).

You might consider posting your story here: Planet Vampire - Index , in the Fan-Creations section. I have my own posted there, though mine focuses on the main story of Bloodlines, with a few things that aren't in the game.

Thanks for the tip. Mine will continue the main story of VTMB, the "aftermath," such as what side the fledgling chooses at the end, the political tensions, and some of the characters will return as well, and of course, the setting (Los Angeles).
