Hello everybody.
I have encountered a weird problem with the Modron maze. I have reset it to Hard difficulty and accidentally found the room with the Evil Wizard somewhere in the beginning of the maze and defeated him, and after a looooong while, in the very depths of the maze, I found Nordom. As far as I know, in order to get most upgrades for Nordom, it is essential to have him in The Nameless One's party during the fight with the wizard. Right now the wizard is dead, and it appears that I have lost the opportunity to get some dialogue upgrades for Nordom. Is there any way to get those upgrades for him? If I reset the maze again, will I be able to fight the Evil Wizard Construct once more?
I am quite reluctant to go through this maze again, even despite insane experience rewards for killing High Threat Constructs.
p.s. and another minor question - I decided to leave Ignus out in Nordom's room (I got all his "study" dialogues for The Nameless One, he is a mage), will his death in this maze influence the game later on?
1. IIRC, yes, you have to talk to the Wizard about the maze, although not necessarily with Nordom.
2. Ignus will always be back at the end, IIRC again.
However, check out Dan Simpson's excellent PS:T walkthrough for details about Nordom: you might find the solution there.
This guide helped me to find the solution. I have found the necessary dialogue line that tells Nordom that The Nameless One is the new Director of the maze. I had to temporarily kick out Morte and Fall-From-Grace out of the party so they couldn't interfere with the dialogue.
