Sorcerer and wizard items

I want to replay this game this time with a spellcaster. I was first thinking about a wizard but after browsing through the henchman section i found that Boddyknock's and Sharwyn's quests give both +charisma itmes. In the end it's +9 cha together and there aren't any +int hench quest rewards. So what do you think is this +9 start worth starting a sorc over a wizard? And is there any good(not just +1) intelligence boosting items later on the game at all?
