SK and adding spells

Post by moltovir »

I'm trying to use SK to add certain spells to one of my characters but in the spell list there's sometimes multiple listings for the same spell... eg Blindness is listed 3 times, Magic Missile a whopping 5. All the descriptions are identical. Is there any functional difference between any of these copies? Does it matter which one I add to his spellbook?

It does indeed matter, but it's not difficult to figure out which are the correct versions. If you scroll to the right of the listings you should see that the spells are listed as Wizard's Magic Missile, that's the one you want, ditto for other spells. For Example the correct fireball, from Memory SPWI306 or something very close, should read Wizard's Fireball. Unfortunately I can't check out precisely at the moment, but I'm confident the Wizard's "Spell name" annotation is correct.

Great, I haven't tested it ingame yet but I can indeed see the "Wizard's..." notation next to one of the copies of each spell. Thanks for your help!
