Clear Text Mode?

Post by Gartar »

Greetings, I have been wanting/trying to replay BG2 for some time now, but I really find it impossible since my eyes are closed to bleeding after reading the text for a few mins. I was wondering if anyone knew of a mode that made the games text/font more readable on higher resolutions(playing at 1920x1080 on a 32'' hdtv) I have tried a few different widescreen mods and such but none of them seem to make the text more readable.

Play on a lower resolution. I don't mean being sarcastic here, that's just how it works. The game uses a certain font size (in pixels), and if those pixels are too small or too far away, the font will become hard to read.

You can configure your widescreen mod to use a different resolution with the same aspect ratio, just multiply both the x and y size by the same factor. You can play around with this until you find a resolution that suits you and your screen.

I figured as much, too bad that there's no mods for increasing font size :( .

Thanks for the information, it is better but it isn't good enough for me, guess I will put off replaying it until either a mod or patch(totally gonna happen;q) comes out, or I cba to go look for my old pc monitor.
