Gran Struth and Vilverin questions

Post by Fljotsdale »

I've played this game lots of times. I mean lots... but I have yet to find a quest for the named skeleton, Gran Struth, in Fort Scinia - is there one?

And also, the named necromancer in the last level of Vilverin - is there a quest for him?

In hopes someone knows... :) Thanks!

Hi Sugar Mama :D

I've had a look through the quests and can't find anything related to those two.

The Necromancer in Vilverin has bugged me for ages, I carried the letter around with me throughout most of my games and nada. Can't find anything in the quests in the CS either.

The only quest related to Gran Struthe I can find is 'A Venerable Vintage', the Shadowbanish Wine quest. He contains a key to enable you to reach two of the bottles; he is set as a 'Quest Item' so his skelly doesn't disappear, but I'm convinced that is only to ensure the key doesn't disappear.

If the Necromancer in Vilverin has been used in a mod I'd certainly like to know. If it hasn't I may start thinking about creating one myself.

On a separate note, how are things on the wrong side of the Pennines?

Hi, Galraen! Sugar Mama, indeed! Hah! That'll be the day!

This are fine this side of the hills. ;) Same for you on your side? :D It's nice to pop in here and get such a nice greeting. :)

And thanks for the info - I never did finish the Shadowbanish quest in any game. I guess the skelly is named just so you can't miss it, then. Never actually been in there before. But yeah, he (it?) did have a key...

Vilverin's necromancer annoys me every time I go in there. Mind you, a number of things in Oblivion annoy me, but I still keep playing it! This time round, though, it's so that I can help my two older grandsons who have just acquired the game on PS. Need to keep my knowledge up to scratch! They think I know it all ;)
