Importing two worlds 2

Post by thorgon »

I am importing TWO WORLDS 2 from AMAZON DE-GERMANY, its costing me $82 dollars for the game and shipping to U.S.A -OREGON state.
Someone told me their may be other import fees charged on delivery, but no
one seems to know for sure how much the fees are, or if there definently will
be a fee, does anyone here know how much the import fees would be to ship
to U.S from GERMANY?
Or has anyone ordered any other games from GERMANY to U.S and know what
the fees they had to pay for it were?
To the best of my knowledge there is no local state tax in OREGON.
THANKS

I hope you haven't bought it yet, as it is available from Steam for half of that.
Have you tried contacting Amazon? They should be able to help you.

When will two worlds 2 be available on steam?

Do you know when it will be available on steam and any of the details?
Are you sure you can purchase it on steam for use here in the U.S.A?

Steam releases games ASAP, so keep checking it.
I really wouldn't order it from Amazon.de, since chances are high it will be a German version. I doub't you want to play that.

For a PC version it might work. Do console games not have a region lock?
And Germany most likely will have the German(not English) version. It is out in other parts of Europe at 12 November. Not UK I hear.

Does steam not also work with a region lock?

Yes, I'll bet it comes in German. Otherwise, it would have an (at least) Europe-wide release.

If it's like here in Canada, you will have to pay the equivalent of the sales taxes. (In my province, it would be 13.5% for example.) (This is for regular postage. The crooks at UPS often charge much more, but this won't be the case with Amazon.)

That said, Amazon (USA) charges them in advance when I order there, so maybe they also do it on their German site.

Lastly, since you seem in a hurry, have you considered shipping time? It may take 3 to 5 weeks to get to you. Considering the delay, it seems wiser to wait a day or two after release just to make sure the game is not only in German.

info. an questions on getting TWO WORLDS 2

For one thing the version being released in GERMANY and other places in november- the one being sold by AMAZON DE is multi-language, it gives you
the option of 4 or 5 different language choices- includeing english, this has been checked on an confirmed.
Also I could find no definate info on when or if for sure it will be out on steam
I also dont know if the steam version when and if it comes out will be available at all locations or if the distributer of the U.S. Release of TWO WORLDS 2 will attempt to keep any place from being able to release it in the
U.S and territories where its going to be selling it in JANUARY 2011.
I also saw on Gogamer.com that they have both versions up on there sight
for preorder- the one coming on november 9th [or 11th as they have it marked] 2010 and the u.s version listed at being available in JAN. 2011.
I sent them an email through their customer service asking if the november
version was available to be shipped in NOVEMBER and trying to verify that it
is the correct version that I want [import version] and that the dates are
accurate. Am awaiting a reply.

Being a german gamer, I'm am absolutely amazed to hear there are games that are released earlier in germany than elsewhere. :D

Usually its the other way around.

Not that I would actually care about Two Worlds in the first place, anyway. Not my kind of game.

Two worlds 2

Iam pretty amazed myself, but the U.S got the very short end of the stick do
to the people handleing the distribution of the game here in the U.S- its a different distributer than the people doing it in GERMANY and other locations,
the U.S one decided that there were to many triple A titles comeing out around the same time so delayed the original date intell JANUARY 2011, but
the games creators -developers have assured everyone that the game is fully
developed and ready for its release and will be the same game content wise
as the one comeing later to the U.S and some other areas, see there is one
developer but 2 publishers, and the U.S got the very unreliable one that has
delayed the game and been very closed mouthed as far as when they will release it, they kept everyone thinking it would be out on OCTOBER 5TH intell
the last moment and then said surprise its not comeing out in the U.S this year, no matter that its ready and going to be out elsewhere.
They made alot of people mad and lost alot of customers because of it to, if
you see some of the TWO WORLD 2 specific forums its full of people who say
they wont get it now, at least not from that publisher, LOTS of people are
importing the game, and some gave up on it entirely.
