D&D on Ventrillo

Post by Renorien »

"I have a vent I'm looking to Sponsor a group, I don't want to do it for Video games that bring to much drama. But, I have played D&D for a very long time.

*looks over his 400 and something books*

I would be willing to give you guys the chance to use my vent for playing Real time D&D. I can even do it for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th E.'s . . .

But here are my problems:

1: I'm not sure how many of you would like this. I've seen so far 100+ people reply to this post. So, I would need to know how many people would be joining so I know if my vent needs to be bigger.

2: Everyone would have to remember it is my vent, I pay for it. So my rules go.

3: I don't know **** about 4e : P But I can DM 1st, 2nd and 3rd. *been playing for 8 years*

Things we would need:

1: A program for a dice roller, I know a few and will test each out.

2: A list of what E.*Exp: 1st, 2nd , etc* everyone wants to play.

3: Who has no Idea how to play.

4: A list of Possible DM's.

I think that is about it... Lol anyways Please post here and let me know"

I posted that (^) Again because the thread it was in was to long, Please Post here what you think and if you would join the vent.

Thanks ~ Reno

I'm interested, though two questions
1) What timezone and schedule have you been planning?
2) What is "vent" actually? Haven't heard about that before

I prefer 3rd edition, as that's the one I know the best. Though I'm open for the earlier versions as well, though I may need some refreshing with those.

Vent = Ventrilo it is a online "Voice/Chat server" So to say, You can use mics or text chat in a "vent" It also has many rooms where one group could be playing D&D 2.5 and another room that a group could be playing 3 or 3.5. :D

Schedule - As of right now, I would be playing on Saturdays or Sunday maybe some time in the week as well. But until i have more people that are interested in this I'm not sure.

Time Zone - CST

I'm in the USA, But vent will never been down its a server and it up 24/7. So you could use it for a anything at anytime.

Also I can DM 3rd so that isn't a problem Hope this helps :)

Weekends would be best for me, though it varies a bit due working schedule. I'm living in GMT +2, so it would require that either one of us is playing during night/early morning. Shouldn't be much problem to me.

Yeah, I prefer 3rd/3.5rd edition, though if wanted I can host one game for those editions as well. I think I have some old campaigns still saved somewhere...

Oh, and can both text chat and voice chat be used at the same time? I'm not that good at pronouncing, especially during nights.
