I don't much about them, but I believe one of the 7(9?) sisters started it.

There are a few resources out there on the web, but the best ones are the hard copy Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and the Ed Greenwood novels (they are his babies after all). We get to see a lot of the Knights of Myth Drannor in Spellfire and the other two books in that series.
