Circles marking movement missing..

Post by oldboy »

Ok,first hiya to all!
I started to have this quite irritating problem in Redcliffe, and now i'm in Orzammar and it's happening again.
Anyway, i think it's some kind of bug maybe i don't know actually but a lot of times when i'm selecting on the screen were i want my party to move, they move but there are no circles that are marking the spots..also,sometimes when i want to select or check how muck health does my opponent have, nothing pops up... frustrating. so,i'm asking is this bug or what?

I tried to install Qwinn Dao fixpack but i cannot,it calls some error..
I have 1.04 Ultimate version.

Any ideas? (*this is long shot but what a hell right.. ;) *)

I had an account here before but i've lost it somewhere. :)

And yes,i totally miss the console below like in bg2 for hits, tips and so on...big minus.

Thanks! Ofcourse im only at the beginning, there will be surely more questions..

Confusing me too, HUD stands for Head Up Display, and there isn't one in DA!

I occasionally notice the stars that indicate where you want the party to move to disappearing when in full party control mode, I take it that's what you are referring to. It can be disorienting but I've found that the party will move to the spot, just that for some reasons the stars aren't showing. I suspect it's a texture issue, and changing the settings via the Main Menu>options>video panel might help, although I neverf bothered as they soon came back.

Press the 'V' key while ingame and then tell me there's no hud.

Anyways, I usually find that a save/reload combination resets this, or sometimes re-booting the game (especially after long sessions) or computer/console works.

Well I pressed 'V', and there is no HUD. All 'v' does is hide the quick slot bar and the character icons. That isn't a Head Up Display, if you need to see one of those try a Flight Simulator, the term HUD originates from the display used in modern aircraft, not RPGs, hence the confusion.

I do agree with your solution though; although it isn't in my experience necessary to exit the game completely, just reloading a save usually works IIRC. Rebooting the game after long sessions is advisable though, to clear memory once responce starts getting too sluggish.
