Post Your Custom Class
Post Your Custom Class
Hey, i just wanted to see what cool custom classes you guys got. Post it like sort of like this.
Character Name: Rowan.
Race: Wood Elf.
Birth Sign: The Thief.
Class: Custom Class (The Ranger)
Main Attributes: Speed and Agility.
Major Skills: Marksman, Sneak, Blade, Light Armor, Illusion, Mysticism, and Alchemy.
Role: The role of the ranger is to blend in the background and sneak attack with a poison arrow. Then when he gets close, he finishes him off with the blade. Need to recharge your magic weapons? No problem, with the Mysticism power i can recharge my weapons in no time. Need to blend in the background for your sneak attack? No problem, with the Illusion power i can make myself invisible which makes them impossible to see me when i'm not in-combat.
So the ranger in my opinion is pretty powerful, i'm not very good at making custom classes so i would and probably others would like to try out some of yours, so lets see what you got.

Interesting, here's my current build for maximum difficulty:
Character Name: Amber
Race: Female High Elf
Birth Sign: Apprentice
Class: Custom Class (Tankmage)
Main Attributes: Endurance, Luck
Major Skills: Marksman, Blunt, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, Conjuration, Speechcraft, Illusion.
Role: the Tankmage wears damage reflecting and spell absorbing armor. Due to her birthmark she is a very easy kill for magic wielding opponents on the highest difficulty. The tankmage has about 50% spell absorption to help her protect against magic attacks. She wears a Ring of perfection, the Sorcerer's Ring and the Spelldrinkers amulet combined with the Escutheron of Chorrol and enchanted magicka armor to obtain high magicka values.
The Tankmage can take a serious beating but due to playing at the highest difficulty she has to get +5 modifiers when leveling up until Endurance is at 100. After Endurance and two other attributes are at 100 (preferably Intelligence and Willpower) leveling is not that important anymore. She uses conjured helpers when she is below level 20. Above level 20 and with the right equipment the Tankmage is a self-sustaining killer that won't even die from jumping of Dive rock
This class is one of the few that can survive at highest difficutly and is still very difficult. I made this character with the goal of only using conjuration skills and no illusion skills. This made the game very difficult at maximum difficulty (especially at the tutorial) and sometime frustrating, a player with the apprentice birthsign at max difficulty is one-shot by every mage you encounter. Still, I feel 100% spell absorption/immunity/reflect makes it to easy. That's why this character is played at 100% difficulty from the beginning. Because you can't just walk from A to B without dying it really makes the game more immersive and rewarding.

It helps you persuade people via horribly easy mini game. The more speechcraft the easier the mini-game is. After some point even facerolling the keyboard will make people love you.Sir Rowan wrote:hmm, very interesting, sounds powerful. However, what is speech-craft for? I mainly choose speechcraft because I never use it and so I can have more control of my leveling.
I've actually posted this before on another thread, but here is my warrior build:
Race: Dark Elf
Birth Sign: Thief
Main Attributes: Endurance, Luck
Major Skills: Heavy Armour, Armourer, Block, Speechcraft, Alteration, Light Armour, Conjuration
As I'd only use the first three skills every time I level up I automatically gain 5 points of endurance, I use miscellaneous/minor skills to increase strength and agility. Any time I want to put a break on leveling up I simply wear enchanted clothing, and don't block.
Alternate:
Race: Breton
Birth sign: Mage
Main Attributes: Endurance, Luck
Major Skills: Destruction, Illusion, Mysticism, Conjuration, Light Armour, Hand to Hand, Speechcraft
I only use the first four skills, make sure I get 5 points of endurance each level up. I use restoration and alchemy to ensure a 5 point gain in intelligence and willpower, and as the most used skill is destruction, which raises very slowly, leveling up is also very slow; I rarely hit 4th level before delivering Marten to CRT and competing all the recommendation quests. The latter obviously being my first priority.
Note: Nearly all Illusion, Mysticism and conjuration effects can be destruction or restoration based if you balance your spell creation carefully.
Alternate 2:
Race: Any
Birth sign: Thief
Main Attributes: Endurance, Luck (spot the trend!)
Major Skills: Sneak, Accrobatics, Marksman, Speechcraft, Alteration, Light Armour, Conjuration
Again I only use the first three skills. I'm currently running this build and have reached 17th level with not too much hassle, although it's been more of a challenge than the first two.

Afair the only char i kept using over and over was :
Race : Bosmer (i liked the textures)
Birth Sign : Thief (for + luck)
Main Attributes : Endurance & Luck (obvious)
Major Skills : Seven skills i never used at all, to stay at lvl 1. Mostly magic skills, plus heavy armor, blunt & co.
Role : Lvl 1 is the last level where there is any realism in game. Fighting arena champion on ultra hard as a lvl 30 guy results in 20+ minutes of constant mouse clicking.
Alternative :
Race, Sign and Attributes the same
Major Skills : Marksman, Acrobatics, Sneak, Illusion, Blade, Light armor, Shield
Role : Kick butts and chew bubble gum, with the ability to level up
It's very important to raise endurance by 5 at every 'ding', even with minor skills. Aside from that the focus should be luck, then strength to carry more junk around. Blade + Sneak + Illousion + Marksman + Acro made me feel like in thief series at times. At high levels it's good to assemble +chameleon gear. 100% if i felt like cheesing my way through.
Alternative 2 :
Race, Attributes and Skills : Does not matter
Birth Sign : Atronach
Role : Assemble 100% damage reflect and 100% magic absorb gear (50% provided by sign) and yawn your way through the game.

I chose thief because you can never have too much luck, agility is important for marksman, which I use a lot, and I never increase speed, so an initial boost is useful. Primarily the luck and agility though.ParanoidAndroid wrote:Can you explain why you choose that race and birthsign for a warrior?
Dark Elf for the 75% fire resistance, important in this game, add on fire resist potions and later Fire Shield enchantments and fire resistance is easily 100%. Allows me to ignore the fire ball towers and laugh at many plane of Oblivion opponents. The +10 blade bonus (blade is a minor remember) and the ability to summon a ghost once a day are the icing on the cake. I also have always had a preference for Drow, in fact my all time favourite AD&D character is one.

I must confess, i always pictured your AD&D characters as gnome paladins made of double rainbows and kittens.galraen wrote:I also have always had a preference for Drow, in fact my all time favourite AD&D character is one.

Currently:
Name: Briar
Race: Breton (female)
Sign: The Apprentice
Custom Class: Shadowfire
Main Attributes: Strength, Endurance (cos of the Apprentice!)
Major Skills: Armourer, Blade, Block, Acrobatics, Marksman, Security, Sneak.
In effect, apart from the Apprentice sign, this character is a sturdy sneak with substantial firepower. She likes to be considered a fighter, and keeps her other skills hidden, practising magic privately in her hut on the waterfront, or covertly stalking guardsmen until she can pickpocket them unnoticed. She is an adept lockpicker, too. She has the ambition and skills to become leader of all the guilds. To say nothing of wishing to amass great wealth and renown by looting every ruin, cave and fort in Cyrodiil.

Name: Horace
Race: Breton
Birth Sign: The Warrior
Class: Custom Class (Battlemage)
Major Skills: Blunt, Heavy Armor, Block, Conjuration, Destruction, Mysticism, and Restoration.
Role: Fights up in close-combat. Summons monsters to aid him in battle. Casts destruction magic to weaken the enemy, then finishes him off in close combat with the Blunt weapon. Can capture souls, and heal himself if necessary. Can take a load of damage on normal difficulty, haven't tried it on hard.
Still working on the skills, Conjuration and Mysticism go well together. If your trying to capture a soul then summon a creature, cast soul trap, then kill it, then you have a soul to recharge/enchant weapons/armors. Restoration helps a lot.

I think this will be pretty bad ass at high levels because warriors are pretty powerful and combined with conjuration you will be the man.Sir Rowan wrote:Made another one, and it works really well.

Name: Rohan
Race: Breton
Birth Sign: The Mage
Class: Custom Class(Ghost)
Major Skills: Alchemy, Restoration, Illusion, Security, Sneak, Blade, Light armor.
Best spell: Sneak (I know it sounds like crap, but works)
-Invisibility 20 sec.
-Blade 10 for 20 sec.
-Sneak 20 for 20 sec.
Add poison (Thats what the Alchemy is for) and sneak and it's a 1 hit kill!
P.S.- Someone else made this guy...

As long as your opponents use magic on you that is,you'll find an awful lot don't. The Atronach was over the top good in Morrowind, but in Oblivion I think you're actually better off with the Mage or Apprentice.Sir Rowan wrote: Role: Once you get his to 100% spell absorb magic, its unbeatable. The best solution is plenty of potions, putting Alchemy as a major is a bad idea; I also suggest putting one of the willpower related skills as a minor so you can 'top up' for levelling purposes.
I'd also suggest using the CS to change Illusion into an Intelligence or Willpower based skill; personality is a complete crock, hopefully it will be removed from Skyrim.

race: dunnmer
birth sign: the thief
main attributes: speed, agility
class: perfect assassin
major skills: blade, marksman, light armor, sneak, alteration, mercentile, security
role: this class is great for killing, it also gets very good prices on arrows, blades, bows, and armor. this is a description of what this player is like " someone angers you by saying something bad, you go to their door, o no, your out of lockpicks, thats fine, you have the alteration skill to unlock their door using magic. you sneak up to their private quarters, you unlock the door and go in. you feel like shooting them in the back, so you pull out your bow and shoot, but you didnt realize the person sleeping next to them, they call the guards, you pull out your blade and resist arrest, you steo sideways and do a power attack, the guards blade flies from his hand, you slice rapidly, the guard drops dead at your feet. you go ouside and get on a roof, you pull out your bow and shoot the nearest guard you see, he is paralized, you shoot again and he is dead, soon all the guards in the area are dead. you go to your house and rest. soon you are in a cave or the dark brotherhood sanctuary hiding from the guards. you go out and slay everyone is sight. soon everyone is running away and out of the city and you are free again" i love this class because i love the way it is so easy to murder people. i like having everyone hating me, then i have a nice reason to cut their throat.
