The big question for me is have they done anything about the fact that you're better off using a blunt butter knife than a vorpal sword. The system of rewarding quantity of hits rather than quality really needs to be fixed.

Not sure about my stance on this, it does make more sense. I mean, if you're skilled in lighter swords, you're skilled in most light swords, right? Meh.
I'm still a little miffed at ESIV tossing out spear, and long and short blade.

You're telling me. No spears in Skyrim, either, which is a shame. It was my favorite weapon in Morrowind!

Let's say we have a claymore. Which is really, really long. Let's set it on fire. We'll use our armory skill to increase it past its peak. Oh look, someone with a rusty iron dagger.

Now we're dead, because we were stabbed fifty-three times in the chest. Sure we got off a hit, but all it did was make them slide backwards a little. What a shame.
Yeah, I hope they fix this, too.
