The vampirism in this game, I think is a little better than that of Morrowind, where your condition gets worse after time, and people don't attack you on the spot.
However, taking time and effort to make a beautiful Vanilla character, contracting vampirism for the lulz, then curing it only to see that my previously beautiful features have been changed, is very aggravating.
Anyone else dislike this?

Vampirism :(
How many times do I have to tell you? If you kill me, you get a simple glove. If not, you get a rare and valuable item, Wraithguard. Oh, but my soul is worth quite the sum.
Wait here. No, not over there. Right here. Okay. Yes, I am the Grand Champion.
Yeah. Sorta didn't like it. The gameplay worked out, as long as you didn't let your character become too old & recognizable. But taking full advantage of vampirism meant resting in-between quests just to get old enough, and then drinking again afterward just to talk to someone. That was just tiresome.
The visual aspects though wasn't thought through very well. Vampirism puts a couple of presets on top of your character that completely disregard what other features it might have. For example, the beast races get human eyes and no fangs like they do in Morrowind. A gaunt, light face will look.. stupid with vampirism on top of it.
There are mods that fix all of this, including gameplay aspects, but it just illustrates that vampirism must have been something they only thought of in a very late development state.

I was aggravated when my bluish Khajiit female turned orange. :|
Feeding wasn't too difficult, I would just go to the Dark Brotherhood or a Mage's Guild. But damn was it irritating when I tried to fast travel.
Did they originally plan on putting werewolves in Oblivion?
I hope they put them in Skyrim, it would make sense..

Todd said there was a good chance of that happening. And if they wouldn't make it it in before release date, they would definitely release an expansion/plugin later.Dagoth_shel wrote:I hope they put them in Skyrim, it would make sense..

Excellent. Hopefully they won't have locked stats in wolf form. I liked the howls they made, but the panting was repetitive..and for the love of the gods, I hope they change the running animations.
