is sharn gra-muzgob a necromancer, and if so, how do you find out?

i just talked to sharn gra muzgob in the balmora mages guild and she convinced me that she isnt a necromancer, but my journal was updated it it said " sharn gra -muzgob has convinced me that she is is not a necromancer.... i wonder" so i spied on her, but nothing, could some1 help me with starting this quest up?

You need to pick locked chest behind her without being seen, in order to get proof that she is indeed a necromancer, talk to her afterwards.
