Is there more in the game? (spoilers)

Post by probo »

Hi, I played through the game once so far, I thought I made adequate choices all around. I ended up murdering most people that pissed me off though. I was wondering if I cut my journey short by killing Sile for example.

It felt like the game was really cut short in the third chapter when it ended. I wanted to battle the wild hunt I thought, and I wanted to kick the Nilfgaardians asses. Is there like a chapter 4, or more to the game?

I checked the shop and there was a recipe/diagram that used the dragon scales, and im like... after I kill the dragon it was just to run through one street and the game was ended?

So did I miss something?

If it turns out that I missed a lot I will replay the game again on hard, because that could be interesting..

Most of those endgame decisions are probably going to have consequences in an expansion or a sequel. Like letting Sile live, or letting the kingslayer go, and so on and so forth.

There's no chapter 4, the last playable part of the game is the battle with Letho, the kingslayer. I guess we'll see other loose ends tied up in an expansion or a sequel, maybe some minor stuff in some DLC, who knows?

As for dragon scale, spoilers:
Spoiler
if I remember correctly, you can find two dragonscales in Act III, one in Philippa Eilhart's house, the other on the Operator's corpse (From a Bygone Era quest). You can't even loot the dragon as far as I know.
Be sure to play the game on hard, it's pretty challenging. I myself finished a Roche path yesterday on Insane, and I have to say that using all that stuff (bombs, oils, traps) counts the most there. My first playthrough was on hard and I rarely used anything besides potions and occasional traps needed for quests.
