Doing quest in Witcher

Post by sonny »

Just started playing The Witcher Enhanced Edition Director's Cut.

Just began Chapter 1. Got 3 quest off a bulletin board, plus other quest I already had.

Is there a time limit on doing these quest?

And do they have to be done in a certain order?

Thanks :)

The quests from bulletin board are optional, and can be done in any moment and in any order as long as you do them during the first chapter.

I usually did all the optional quests as soon as possible to avoid accidentally finishing the chapter before the quests are done.

--Maybe spoiler!!--

There are several quests you can loose, each chapter..do those with no shield in the journal first...
I've finished my first game...good game and almost good storyline, but very poor sidequests and very very too much short, when I started to like it, it's finished..
Same game with a much more longer storyline and side-storylines, and much more freedom to wander, would have been something to remember..but like this, sincerely, there is no reason to play it again, apart of some side quests I've loose (useless anyway, because you reach level cap -30- before the end), and there are so few locations that you remember exactly where to go.

There are several choices to make during the game, but eventually there will result in different movies too see, I've found no substantial differences choosing one way instead of another (even kill a king does not bear any real consequence to our hero).

You're talking about The Witcher 2, Sonny's still on part 1.

Sorry, well, take this for when you will play next chapter, in any case it's worth to be played.

Kalkstien shows up in all chapters with the exception of Chapter 4. He is the sole exception to the rule that you have to complete all the bulletin board quests in the same chapter. I was able to give him alghoul marrow from his chapter 2 board quest in chapter 3 for example.

Still it is a good rule to always complete the side quests in the chapter you get them

Edit

Sorry, got my ghouls and alghouls mixed up
