I love this game, but I'm so confused it's not funny. 1st play through, trying not to use any walkthrough. May have messed up Chapter 2.
I'm in the Temple Quarter and for the most part have been running around doing things related to the suspects and doing what Raymond tells me to do.
Just finished the autopsy and got all these messages telling me everybody is innocent. So I checked my journal to try to decided what to do next and I realise I have several quest that I have to go to the swamp to do. I've never even been to the swamp. Other then Temple Quarter, I went to the Dikes one time to talk to Leuvaarden and that's it.
Is it to late to do these swamp quest?
If I go to this swamp, can I come back to the TQ and finish what I need to do there. What ever that is.
So can some one just give me a little nudge to get me on the right track?
No big spoilers please.
Thanks. Sorry about the long post.

They turned me loose from the nervous hospital. Said I was well.
You'll have plenty of time to get lost in the swamps in the later chapters as well as traveling between areas.
I don't think You can mess up chapters or the game for that matter - You might play through it non optimally, missing or not completing some of the side quests, but that's probably how first playthroughs should be.

He's right. You'll have to go to the swamp to advance the main quest, and many other quests. There's no way you can avoid it. And yes, you can take a boat back and forth from the swamp and the temple quarter (and teleport using places of power as well for a while).
My first playthrough of chapter 2, I was endlessly running back and forth from the swamp, for every little quest. Now I'm more efficient.
