Hey
I get that the option to Force Attack an NPC appears rather rarely in the original campaign. Is there perhaps an exploit that lets you turn neutral critters hostile?

You can do this using the console: Open up the console with whichever key opens it in your version (not sure what it is on US keyboards, if that's where you are), and type DM_SetFaction Hostile with the thing you want to make hostile right click targeted.
Be careful, though; some things made hostile in this way can't be killed. If you're looking to use this to get round a bug, it's possible that the NPC in question has scripted invulnerability, so a more complex solution may be necessary.
