I don't know about all of you but I love these things and don't see nearly enough. If you guys know of any mention them, even if you don't think they were all that good.
It was a love affair born in my youth during any of the classes I disliked. I would rush through my work (or ignore it altogether) and draw complex maps of dungeons and caves and castles etc. fill them with monsters and traps and of course treasure and while away hours hacking the crap out of anything that moved. Not until much later did I try introducing a narrative (which kind of sounds crazy, I know) And began to lose interest at the lack of surprise. the magic of pen and paper gaming IS the surprise, the uncertainty and absolute danger. so written works (such as tunnels and trolls) and random generators (like dungeon bash, which I have not tried yet) are my only real options. Do you guys know of anything along these lines? Major points for something with a persistant character i.e. you don't generate a new one each time you start an adventure.
If there is an interest in the community and a lack of satisfactory works I've considered making my own game (or working with someone who has a similar desire), largely because I want something that warrents a thick rule book and has extensive variety in terms of items and monsters, something the solo game-books and systems have been woefully lacking up until this point.

Sounds Like a Great Idea
I think you got a great idea for this new game. But how much exactly have you already drafted? I would like to read other members' feedback here at http://www.gamebanshee.com
