Elemental Princes

Post by Rodo »

I don't have tob, I only saw it at a friend's house but I have to say WOW. These guys are quite litteraly DYNAMOS OF DESTRUCTION. I remember the Earth Prince did a critical hit of 80 damage on a Fallen Deva (who are also quite nice). It's also nice that they Dispell Magic on hit (like an elemental Carsomyr). Too bad they last for such a short time...

On a side note, I think Pit Fiends and Balors got really screwed over in this game. I mean, they are supposed to be about as powerful as Devas/Planetars (albeit the only fiends that can match Solars are the Lower Planar Royalty).
You can never hope to grasp the source of our power. We are forever.

WAit, fallen devas and elemental princes dispell magic per hit?!?! Pls confirm.

My favorite is planetars, with silver sword, vorpal effect and globe of blades you have a summoned cruise missile.

One thing about elemental princes, one prince, earth, I think, panicked in battle with imprisoned one. Had savarok kill him, so for super battles use resist fear on all participants.

Planetars never seem to check for fear, and got better spell selection than devas

Can the full stats and attributes for Devas and Planetars be found somewhere?

Devas get jilted in game: Planetars get more Cleric spells that inturn, seem to do more damage. Still it's a sight for sore eyes when Viconia summon a Fallen Deva in the heat of a loosing battle.

@Userfriendly: Devas and Planetars dispell with each hit (Or should anyway). The Elemental Princes don't. They're just insanly powerful.

Thanks!

I was not aware my fav summon of all time did that!

Planetars rule. they are so much fun to use I actually have a rule about them.

dragon class or higher only, skellys and swords for everything else.

they are too much fun to use!

Oh yeah,

jahiera and vilators helm, cast simacrum, make sure elemental price summons are at left side of the spell slots, summon 3-4! Mega cheese!

IMO the planatar is the best summoned creature (I will prevail - hehe!) The spells are great, they can heal, restore and ressurrect, and have a great AI...though this is frustrating if you want to leave a battle because they keep returning...

The elemental princes are powerful, but not summoned for anywhere near as long. The other problem with elemental princes is they tend to hurt your party members inadvertantly (sp?) in melee, I am thinking of the chappy with the globe of blades (air?) :)

I can confirm that (at least) the earth elemental prince does indeed dispel magic on every damage dealing attack. I had not noticed this before. I also just noticed that devas can cast resist fear wich I've missed. Druids are even more insanely powerful than I had thought, I'm currently at lvl 26 and I find the game even easier than playing the fighter/mage!
