I was wondering which difficulty level is considered normal, or equal balanced?
Thanks

I guess the Adept difficulty level would be considered equal to Normal and it is the game's default difficulty level. It's a good difficulty level to start in (the novice and apprentice difficulty levels are very easy), you'll die sometimes and especially at low levels (a lot if you don't use your head) and it will be challenging from time to time, but generally you'll be able to casually progress through the game.

As stated, Adept is default. I change it all the time however. I mostly change it to help along what skills I am wanting to build up at the moment. It takes longer to build up the attack skills even with the corresponding stone activated on the lowest difficulty setting than a higher setting for example as the experience is built up per hit so more enemies are needed at lower difficulty settings for the same gain.

Why would you want to change it down though? At a low level, the game should be challenging - otherwise it won't be any fun.
The more I level up, the easier it becomes to defeat enemies, even the "big bad" ones. Sometimes I think about increasing the difficulty, but perhaps on my next playthrough. For now I just leave it as default and enjoy my power.
