whats the best weapon damage?
and does monkey grip work with kaedrins pack?
Yes Monkey Grip works with Kaedrins.
Best base damage is a Monk's unarmed attack progression.
Best base damage of a handheld weapon is a Greatsword.
If you include the contribution of criticals then it's a Falchion as an average.
If you look at total damage from a single attack with criticals then it's a Scythe.
Note: attack numbers factor-in with achieving a critical, the higher the attack number the better the chance overall. The -2 penalty from Monkey Grip does factor in here, particularly at lower levels.
Of course if the opponent is critically immune then the critical calculation is meaningless.
Additionally,
Wielding two weapons usually results in a substantial improvement to damage. The base damage may only be equal (..like wielding two Rapiers vs. one Greatsword), but the additional modifier damage adds to *both* weapons (..basically doubling added damage sources). Criticals will make modifier damage double as well - so usually dual-wield Kukris are the best for total average damage with criticals and good-excellent modifier damage (Strength bonus).
