GamersGate Baldur's Gate Tales of Sword Coast crashes. HELP!

Good day,

I'm having some issues running Baldur's Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast, which I bought through GamersGate Recently as part of an anthology deal.

My issue is that the game crashes immediately after completing or skipping the final opening video, the one with the nietzsche quote. I'm running it on Windows 7, and have even changed the compatibility of the game to run on Windows XP SP2 and I have it running under Admin state.

Can anyone help me out? I can offer more info as necessary.

FYI: I'm actually trying to do the guide at Destructoid for a more complete game experience (http://www.destructoid.com/the-weekend- ... 2096.phtml), but it also won't install all the files probably due to some issue with the BG1 not having config files set up, since I can't get to the start page.
