level 4 Duralg;s tower

Finally go there and this woman says I can teleport back and come back. How do I get back. How do I get to the chess board if I make it through the three levels?

I have not been able to do so in the 4 or 5 times I have done the Tower. Where I run into a problem is the "2nd" level. The doors seem to randomly reset once you leave that level. Every time I have returned, the doors that let you get through to where the stairs go down no longer work. I have patched the game with the official game patch. My experience has been pretty much a one way trip. So I would plan carefully what to carry out when you leave.
