Dumping romance interests?

If I remember correctly, if you dump someone you're romancing while the romance is in it's early stages (ROMANCEACTIVE: 1), the romance will end. But I figured I'd try dropping out Anomen (To do the Harper quests with Jaheria), and see what happens. My character's romance with him is finished in SoA; they have slept with eachother and he has professed his love; the "ROMANCEACTIVE" variable is a 2. So I tried dumping him, and then had him rejoin the party again; the counter is still 2. So, that would mean it works, right? Well, sadly I'm the worrying sort...I plan on continue the romance with Anomen and take him with me into ToB; I need to be sure. So...I'm asking if anyone has ever tried this? All patches are installed, as well as the G3 fixpack. Thanks in advance!

I have now compared a save file from before dumping him, with a save file from after dumping him with Shadowkeeper, and, all numbers in regards to everything concerning Anomen is an exact match. I can only assume this means there's no harm in dumping a romance interest once the 'romance has been aquired' (ROMANCEACTIVE: 2). Hopefully this doesn't ruin anything, but it seems it shouldn't.

i think there was a time interval, 3 days or something, before they are considered dumped.Wouldnt risk it though.

Hmm, you may be right, came to think of it, he did say something like "Ok I'll wait here, but not for long". :S Bah. Looks like poor Minsc gets the boot then, thanks mate.
