Thief abilities disappear when going dualclass

Post by Swanburglar »

So this is really frustrating. I have a level 8 thief that ive been using for a while, and decided its time to dual class to a fighter, but as soon as i do, my thief abilities disappear. I can no longer hide in the shadows or use that little mask icon to pick locks or pockets. Is it supposed to be this way? I assume its not seeing as this seems to defeat the purpose of dual classing...
help please

You get your thief abilities back when your fighter level surpasses your thief level.

Oh... OK then. Thank you so much for your reply. If you don't mind me asking, does that mean that there's a difference between dual-class and multi-class? because I don't remember multi-class working that way...

Only humans can dual-class. Multi-classes earn xp for all of their classes at the same time (but at a slower rate).

Also, non-humans must choose to multiclass when they're creating their characters, while humans can dual-class midgame (as you did.)
