Who actually gets to level 40?

Post by Mr. Sprinkles »

I'm about ready to face Balthazar and my guys are only in the high twenties (levels). Maybe it's because I have 2 Multi-class NPCs and 6 people in my group. Any recommendations for a group next time? I'm more of a role player than a power gamer, so I've had Minsc and Jaheira since the beginning. I just can't seem to dump Jaheira, even though she sucks in TOB (she takes it so hard if you try to dump her). I like that Harper Pin, though. It made her really useful against Abazigal. I took Aerie as a romance simply because hers is the best ending (married in the clouds with two bastard children, you gotta love it ;) :D ). Anyway, I thought I'd pick up Sarevok cuz of his stats and Deathbringer assault, but I made him swear the oath and his alignment stayed the same  . Oh well, suggestions please. Thanx in advance.
I saved Suldanesellar from destruction, and all I got was this stupid amulet.

Well you could always play with less people in the party maybe just yourself and two others. It may take a little more thinking in the tuffer battles but I am sure it can be done.
Or look around the board there is some good ways to get lots of exp. ;)

Play with a full party and you're not going to get much further than level 30.

If you want to make 40 you'll either need to take less people, or to hang around the respawn points (e.g. Slaves in Sendai's lair, Fire Giants at Saradush....)

I finished ToB solo and my mage was 40 level. With abilities like those it was nearly easy : 24,23,22,23,24,21. I got those twice from Lum's machine + BG books + hell quests+ original only 18. Everyone is too easy in the game except Balthazar and ravager

Actually, I killed Balthazar in about 5 seconds, I just focused all of my tanks on him and he was dead before Imoen even finished casting her first spell in that battle.
