I tried to search for threads on this topic but keep getting error messages.
Have played several run throughs of SoA including once before as a paladin. Didn't have any problems with this third scenario but seem to recall others asking about a possible bug?
I seem to have run into this bug now. It starts out fine and I defeat the assasins with little fuss. I go upstairs and speak to the brat. She says I should go back downstairs and make sure there are no more intruders. I go downstairs and wait and wait and wait and nothing happens. I have gone back upstairs and outside, but nothing triggers the next event that should happen.
I do have two mods installed, Unfinished Business and Nalia Romance. Could these be causing the lack of progress with the quest?
Philos, I believe that this is a bug from the vanilla version of the game. If I recall correctly, I resolved it by going back to an earlier save, before I even entered the Docks District. It took me a few tries however.

My last quick save was unfortunately just outside the door to Tyrianna's place. I have some other saves but they may go back several days. Sigh! That will be a real let down if so.
Whew! My quick save worked. That is great since the next most recent save was 5 game days back, just before I started the paladin quests! It worked the first time I loaded it. I think what might have helped on the 1st try is that I restarted BG2 fresh. I had shut down SoA completely when I went to go online and post this question. At any rate thanks again Crenshinibon.
