Problem with romance?

Post by Andaar Amberfire »

Well, I'm a paladin and I've been romancing Aerie since the start of the game. It got to a point where she would talk to me all the time, and the relationship went really well. But ever since I finished the Sir Sarles quest for Helm after completing Umar Hills/Temple Ruins, de'Arnise Keep and Windspear Hills, she stopped talking to me. She hasn't said a word.

Could it be because I haven't saved Haer'Dalis from the Planar Prison yet? My reputation is 20 and all the NPC's have been praising me...could it be that I have inadvertently started another romance? Even then, shouldn't Aerie mention it? It's been over a week (real-time) since she has said anything.

My party members are:
-Andaar (me, Paladin)
-Aerie
-Minsc (Aerie is his witch)
-Valygar, but now I have Nalia (Only since yesterday) cause i needed a thief
-Keldorn with that cool talking sword, Lilarcor :)
-Mazzy

Anyways, thanks for the help someone...

Dude, if you want a thief, take either Jan or Yoshimo. Anyway, your romance probably isn't in trouble. I suggest you pause the game and leave it for about 30 minutes, then come back to it and she should talk to you again. How far are you in the romance? If you sleep with her the first time she asks, it's over. Also, I don't recommend putting Haer'Dalis in your party if you have Aerie, bad things start happening. I don't think the Planar Prison quest has anything to do with Aerie's romance, but do it anyway and see what happens. Hope this helps.
I saved Suldanesellar from destruction, and all I got was this stupid amulet.

Bah, didn't work (the pausing thingo). I haven't slept with Aerie either. Completed Planar Prison quest, still no difference (only been playing for a little after that quest tho). Maybe a bug?

Check the value of AerieRomanceActive, either with Shadow Keeper or CLUAConsole. If it's 3, the romance is over. To check with Shadow Keeper, open the save game and look in the Global section; to check with CLUAConsole, press CTRL + SPACE and type in CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("AerieRomanceActive","GLOBAL") and press ENTER in the game - after adding Debug Mode=1 under [Program Options] in the Baldur.ini file.

Shadow Keeper - This is a save game and character editor, you can change stats, add items, view variables, etc.

CLUAConsole is already part of the game, all you have to do is activate it. Go to the directory where you installed the game, open the file call baldur.ini, add in Debug Mode=1 under [Program Options], save and close the file. Then start the game and press CTRL + SPACE during gameplay, you can then enter in the codes you need and just press ENTER.
