Looking for a (J)RPG on Nintendo (3)DS

Post by GawainBS »

I've played Crono Trigger, FFIV, FFIII, FFTA II and Lufia on the DS. I'm having trouble finding a decent RPGs for the DS. Can anyone suggest some?

Thanks in advance!

There might be newer games that are still interesting, I wouldn't really know. Were Earthbound or Secret of Mana ever converted for the DS? IMO and as far as the classics are concerned, the hill goes downwards after Chrono Trigger.

There's FFVI, but I'm not sure if that got converted, or if that's before CT or not. I don't know Earthbound, and haven't heard anything about Secret of Mana being converted.

My gamey senses tell me that Nintendo would have at least made the entire RPG top 10 available again. Nostalgia sells right?

Yes actually. Secret of Mana may not be available, but I did stumble across a Youtube video mentioning you can actually get Super Nintendo and other emulators to run on a DS. A little more searching brought me to a lot of Google results. I picked out this one for you: http://www.howtogeek.com/119273/how-to- ... e-machine/

There seems to be a Linux distro too, which I guess would be able to run Wine? Linux aside, I wouldn't be surprised if there was something like a Dosbox emulator at this point. What a rather interesting little machine. :)
