What's Happening to me? ( possible spoiler? )

Can anyone tell me what's going on? I entered the barracks in Saradush and started fighting the enemies in there. After defeating them all, I looted what items were in there and went back to the inn to rest. As I entered, a burst of fire exploded around me only. At the time, not realizing it was just me, I thought a fireball had fallen. But it happens at EVERY door I go thru. I went to the Temple, and I'm not cursed or anything. I have something ( forget what it is ) that gives me fire protection, so it doesn't hurt, but it is kinda annoying. Oh, if it means anything, there was so many in the barracks, I decided to turn into the Slayer. Thanks in advance.

You must have missed that the town is under siege and is being bombarded by the giants...

No, it's not the bombs. It's an unintended effect I encountered as well. Either it's because I used some cheatcodes to give my paper doll another look or something else... I forget. It's been mentioned in these forums once before though, but I can't find the thread.
Still, it's a totally harmless effect.

It's because of the slayer change.
On my first go through ToB i found it hard so i turned into the slayer a lot.
The more i turned into the slayer the worse
it got even whn new NPC's entered the screen it happened.

Thanks again. I didn't think it was the Fire Giants because it was only happening to me. I just didn't know if it was a bug in the game, becoming the slayer, or I picked up something i shouldn't have.
