Hey all, was wondering if anyone could help me out with a fix for this. Got the Gith in my party, and I'm supposed to meet Nevalle back at Crossroads keep for some reason. Anyway, problem is crossroads keep has apparently not gotten the notification, and the only people there are the many starred cloaks from the battle with Garius (and if I talk to them, they think the battle is still going on, so I can't leave.)
My last other save is about 30 minutes or so prior to this, but since there's no guarantee going back to that will fix the problem anyway, I figured I'd ask first to see if anybody knows a fix, or what's causing the problem.
I really like this game, but I'm playing with the final patch (1.23) and this is the 4th game-breaking bug I've encountered. I'm only in chapter 2.

This may all be the result of the "familar" bug, which tend's to mess-up sequences in this manner.
It's also possible that by fixing prior bugs you have created new ones.
I'd say try going back to your most recent prior save (..and pray), OR a save from before *any* problems started to occur. Perhaps the only solution is to fully remove the game and do a fresh install (..as depressing as that sounds).
With a fresh install, NO add-on's (other than the official campaigns), and compliance with the familar bug problem - you shouldn't have any problems at all.
Getting rid of the familiar fixed it!
Thanks for your help! I had heard that familiars were buggy, but I hadn't realized that even the final patch didn't do anything to fix that. Or that it could break the game script in ways other than replacing part members...
I did have to go back to a previous save, but I only lost about a half-hour of game time, so that's not too bad.
