Black Isle Expansion Packs Won't Install

Hello.

I am new here though I am not new to the Baldur's Gate community. I have used this forum many times in the past but never had to ask a question because I could always find what I needed just by doing a simple search. However, this time I was not so lucky so I hope it's okay to start a new thread.

I'm having problems getting Heart of Winter and Throne of Bhaal to install on my computer. IWD and BG2 both installed just fine but for some odd reason, I cannot get either expansion pack to do so. They get to a certain point and stop. I thought when I tried to install HOW that maybe it was a disc issue but when TOB did the same thing, I realized that was not the problem. I do have a newer computer with Windows 7 but I figure if the games themselves install and play just fine (which they do) that it SHOULDN'T be a compatibility issue. I also tried to install them as administrator, tried a full install, recommended install, short install but nothing worked. I am stumped. Any help would be appreciated.
