Watchers Keep

I finished BG1 and TotSC and imported my character.
To SoA.
Anyway i was thinking of going through Watchers Keep in chapter 2 and my question was is it a wise choice?

Plus can the paladin bracers be upgraded by Cromwell?

If I were you I wouldn't do watchers keep till the very beginning of ToB because the game is easy enough without an several million extra experience points in chapter two. You could also do it in chapter 6 if you want to comprimise, but this will make Irenicus even easier

(Not like its possible for that weakling to be any easier. He's the end boss for pete's sake!

I would say NOT to do it until you have at least 2,500,000 xp. Not a difficulty issue, but a practicality one. My understanding is that doing WK before that point will eliminate some enemies...and therefore eliminate some of the loot.
On the second question, nothing you get in WK can be upgraded before you hit TOB.

If you do WK too early, you'll miss out on Foebane for sure. Not sure how many other things though.

Another reason not to do Watchers while still in chapter 2 is that it will give you too many experience points so that if you pick up Imoen she will be far too many levels behind the rest of the party to be worthwhile.

Also if you do Watchers anytime in SOA you will find that if you take Sarevok in TOB he will also be much lower level than the rest of your characters
