Unexpected Stuff in the (Combat) Text Area

Last night I was down on Level 4 of WK having a go against Saladrex ("dragon taste like chicken?"

) and paused for a moment to scroll back through the text in the message area to check on the result of a spell, and to my surprise amongst the other messages I find:

Saladrex: Die, damn insects, die!

which I thought was pretty unusual. Jaheira had tried to cast Insect Plague a round earlier but had her casting interrupted by a wing buffet... coincidence?

I'm still not sure if he was referring to the insect plague or ME!

Has anyone else noticed any strange (or funny) quotes logged in the message area by enemies during battle?

Yes, it happens. Sometimes. Can't remember any specific quotes, though... Helps if you turn off most of the feedback (Hit Rolls etc.).

I also got this dialogue, my party were not even close to Saladrex - I had sent in a Planatar, Elemental Prince and Mordenkains Sword

BTW, I was wandering, I have completed the Machine of Lum etc and activated the portal. Does Saladrex serve any further purpose or was I a little premature with my aggression?

Yshania: No Saladex doesn't have any important role, just another victim trapped within the Keep.
